3rd Annual Wildflowers Blossom Pageant – Where Everyone Shines!

The mission of the Wildflowers Blossom pageant is to serve individuals with disabilities by providing a fun pageant experience. Through this pageant experience, these individuals will be pampered, loved on and given the opportunity to shine on stage! We want to celebrate your amazing personalities!!

Welcome to Another Year of the Wildflowers Blossom Pageant!

We’re thrilled to announce the return of the Wildflowers Blossom Pageant, lovingly hosted and coordinated by the amazing Wildflowers Blossom Pageant Group and community volunteers, Kendra and Lilly Wells and the entire Wells family.

In collaboration with the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Charlotte, we’re so excited to bring this cherished event back for another memorable year!

We’ve made a few updates to the structure this year to ensure that every contestant has a chance to shine bright, feel pampered, and have an experience that’s as fun as it is empowering.

What’s New This Year

  • New Location: Weddington, NC (see full address in event details)
  • Two-Part Pageant:
    • Ages 0–12: Begins at 11:00 AM
    • Ages 13 and older: Begins at 1:00 PM (time subject to be slightly later- will confirm this closer to the event)
  • Families and spectators are welcome to stay for the full event! However, younger participants (12 and under) may leave after the first half of scoring if needed.

Hair & Makeup:
A pre-event schedule will be sent out soon. Coordinators from Wildflowers Blossom will contact each participant with their specific hair, makeup, and wardrobe times. Contestants may wear one of the provided gowns or bring their own dress or suit.

Hair and Makeup is provided by volunteer artists. Hair is not an updo. This consists of curling, pinning, and making hair pageant ready for stage.

Costs & Sponsorship:
This pageant is free for all participants and open to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Donations and sponsorships are welcomed to help cover crowns, sashes, snacks, and awards—every contribution makes a difference! If there is a group/business that would like to sponsor a specific cost (i.e. custom sashes, supplies for the event, etc. please reach out to Kendra Wells at lillyswildflowersblossom@gmail.com

We’re so grateful to the Wildflowers Blossom team and everyone who makes this event possible. It’s one of the most heartwarming days of the year, celebrating confidence, joy, and inclusion.

Date: Saturday July 18, 2026

Time: (ages 0-12) 11am-12:30pm

(ages 13+) 1-2:30pm

(contestants will be scheduled from prior to their stage time for makeup, hair and outfit prep)

Snacks and water will be provided to contestants during prep and wait time.

What to Expect:

Upon arrival at the pageant venue, your participant will be guided to hair and makeup. We’re happy to provide as much or as little assistance as desired—whether that’s just hair, just makeup, or both. Please note there may be some downtime as we work with each participant.

We will also have a selection of dresses available to browse and find the perfect size and fit. Our team will be there to assist in selecting the right dress to help each participant feel their best!
